After 15 years in the marketing industry, Dallas completed his tour of duty as MD at one of the leading global agencies and then founded ‘The Strategy Department’ in 2009 based on the concept of in-house outsourcing, offering clients years of senior experience to deliver implementable strategies, without the overhead commitment. Dallas is also committed to mentoring and development to ensure up-skilling and knowledge transfer.
Richard Prevost. Managing Partner
Richard has worked extensively on brand strategy over the past 18 years and has spent quality time in Director positions with Added Value and Interbrand Sampson. Having worked across 4 continents and multiple categories, Richard is able to bring a well-rounded perspective to any business problem.
Clive Evans. Managing Partner
Clive spent 10 years in market research before moving into advertising; heading up strategy at BBDO for 12 years followed by a 2 year stint at JWT before joining to The Strategy Department in 2013. Clive has both the experience and the people skills to make him a ‘trusted advisor’ in the world of marketing, advertising and brand building across a broad range of industries.
Lara Cassel. Managing Partner
Lara is both a business and brand strategy specialist. Her unique experience straddles top branding agencies and large corporates in developing and implementing business and marketing strategies across a multitude of industries; from financial services to casinos, from agricultural to FMCG brands. Lara strongly believes that strategies are not just a document, but a gateway to successful and sustainable businesses.
Didy Andersson. Senior Strategist
Didy has worked on both sides of the Client/Agency divide for the likes of Virgin Mobile, MTN, BP, Grey and Interbrand Sampson. Didy specialises in strategic insights that have implementable, realistic business-outcome solutions at their heart. Didy represents The Strategy Department in both Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Michael dos Santos. Senior Strategist
Michael graduated with B.A. Hons in Marketing Communication (cum laude) and started his career as a marketing and research assistant before moving into Strategic Planning at Grey Johannesburg. With a keen attention to detail and experience across the marketing and communication spectrum, Michael continues to be inspired by the dynamic world of brands and branding.
Nonkululeko Mabena: Strategist
Nonks completed her BA in Marketing Communications in 2010 and joined the advertising industry in Account Management for 2 years. In 2014 she moved to The Strategy Department as a nascent strategist with a fascination of the human mind. Nonks loves exploring new spaces and experiences.
Kele Rammopo: Strategist
Kele studied a B.A in Corporate Communications at the University of Johannesburg. She started out as a retail sales consultant before moving into advertising and then strategy. Kele believes her strongest assets are her psychological knowledge and business savvy; skills that she aims to apply to her work every day, whilst continuing to gain practical knowledge within the exciting realm of strategic planning and brand building.
Jennifer Stevenson. General Manager
Jen has worked in the marketing and advertising industry for 16 years, starting out in Radio and TV Production with McCann Erickson before moving into Account Management with Grey and Ogilvy SA. Jen now manages the team and the business at The Strategy Department. Her pet hate is chasing late payments!
